Tiny Behaviours, Big Impact

Making Sense of Low-Level Behaviours

🗓 August 28 | ⏰ 4–5:30pm AWST | 💸 $47AU

Don't know how to support those niggly little behaviours that keep happening over and over and over and over again? Start here.

Meet Tiny Behaviours: Big Impact - a game-changing workshop that will teach you how to work with low-level behaviours like non-stop talking, calling out, fiddling with materials, and wriggling like a pro.

Your go-to responses for these behaviours are ignoring, names on the board, calling children out but, deep down, you know they’re not the answer.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM:

You're frustrated by the repetition.

The same small behaviours happen over and over - and they're wearing you down. You’re exhausted from repeating instructions and managing constant disruptions.

You don't know what else to do.

You know you want to avoid punitive approaches like public clip charts or calling children out but don’t (yet) have a toolkit of quick, respectful strategies for redirecting behaviour.

Your emotional regulation is taking a hit.

The constant drip of low-level behaviours wears on your patience and regulation and, sometimes, you react with frustration and later regret it.

This workshop is based on the exact tools I teach in mentoring sessions and university lectures that educators say are game-changers for classroom calm and connection.

This isn’t about classroom control; it’s about building emotionally safe spaces where children want to engage and where you feel empowered, not exasperated.

If you’ve ever thought “it’s just calling out, why am I so exhausted?” - this workshop is for you.

You’ll leave with a new lens, concrete tools, and a deep exhale of finally feeling supported.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR

Hey, I'm Danica!

(Dah-nee-cah)

Do you need a low-level bestie like me in your life?

With one zillion years (rough estimate) of experience in early childhood education, mentoring educators, and training future teachers as a university lecturer, I'm all about practical, evidence-based strategies that actually work.

My biggest lessons about low-level behaviours?

Not just from theory (although that helps).
Not just from the classroom (although that taught me oh-so-much).

But from parenting my own strong-willed, movement-seeking, “just-one-more-question” daughter who’s taught me more about engagement, connection, and unmet needs than any textbook ever could.

Now, I teach what I’ve learned so you don’t have to keep putting out spot fires all day, every day.

If you’re looking for support that works - and feels good, grounded, and aligned with your values (no shame, no power trips) - hi.

You’re in the right place. Welcome, friend.

I'm constantly amazed by Danica's ability to decode the research, blend it with her own insights and obvious passion for the work she does, then communicate it in such a relatable way. The Educators and families she supports are lucky to have her.

-JACQUIE, Psychologist

I'm so glad I reached out as Danica was able to support me on my journey in a number of roles including Educational Leader/Early Childhood Teacher in a long daycare setting, and as an Early Intervention Teacher working with children with complex needs and behaviours. She listened, genuinely cared about my wellbeing and the issues I was having, and always went above and beyond to help.

-SAM, Early Childhood Teacher

Danica gave us lots of great language/phrases we can use with our children so that we have a more solid and consistent approach as parents when responding to our children's big feelings.

-J, Parent

Danica helped me feel confident in my practice and in my knowledge that l had to come in at the start of the year being new to the service and setting up a classroom space for the first time. Danica helped me talk through all the things that were important for me in a classroom and how to make them come to life.
