You know the kind of behaviour moment that makes you wobble?

You start out calm. You repeat the direction. You try the strategy you were sure was going to work.

And… nothing.

So you repeat yourself again.

Maybe your voice gets a little louder. Maybe you come down harder than you wanted to. Or maybe you swing the other way, backing off because you’re not quite sure what to do next.

Then comes the second-guessing.

Was I too soft?
Was I too harsh?
Should I have handled that differently?
Why does everyone else seem to know what to do when I don’t?

If you care deeply about the way you support children, but find yourself swinging between too soft and too hard when behaviour gets tricky, you’re exactly who I created this webinar for.

You don't need to become firmer, and you certainly don't need to become more permissive in the name of being responsive.

You just need to know how to hold the middle ground.

There is a middle ground.

One where you can acknowledge a child's feelings without changing the boundary.

Where you can be deeply responsive without becoming permissive.

Where you can hold a clear limit without needing to become harsh, punitive or louder to make it stick.

This is Warm Authority.

It isn't about being a little bit warm and a little bit firm - it's about being warm AND firm at the same time.

Responsive enough to say: I see you. I hear you. I understand that this is hard.

Steadfast enough to say: The boundary still stands.

The magic is that Warm Authority is less about what you do and more about how you show up when behaviour gets hard.

That's exactly what we're going to explore together.

This isn't another webinar telling you to

“just stay calm.”

In 90 practical minutes, we'll unpack what’s actually happening when behaviour knocks you off your footing - and what you can do differently.

Together, we'll explore:

  • Why behaviour can make even experienced educators wobble

  • The beliefs quietly shaping the way you respond

  • What Warm Authority actually looks like in practice

  • Practical ways to respond when behaviour gets tricky

  • How to stop second-guessing yourself and start trusting your judgement

This isn't 90 minutes of theory you'll promptly forget.

You'll leave with ideas you can actually take back into your space - and a different way of thinking about what it means to support behaviour well.

Imagine walking into your space thinking “I've got this.”

Not because you've memorised the perfect script or because you'll never lose your footing again.

Because when behaviour does get wobbly, you don't immediately make that mean you're doing a "bad job."

You can stop, notice what's happening, respond with warmth and firmness.

You trust yourself to find your way back to the middle when you don't get it quite right.

That's the kind of confidence I want you to begin building inside Warm Authority.

why hello!

I'm Danica.

I've spent the past 17+ years working in early childhood education as a teacher, mentor, consultant, practicum supervisor and university lecturer.

I've written two tertiary behaviour units - but I'm also still right there in the classroom (my happy place is teaching three-year-olds, where behaviour, belonging and big feelings are very much part of the everyday).

I've had my own fair share of wobbles.

I've questioned whether I was being too soft. I've been told I needed to be firmer. I've reached the bottom of my toolkit and heard myself getting a little more yelly-shouty than I'd like.

Over time, I've learnt that supporting behaviour well isn't about getting every moment right. It's about becoming really clear on how you want to show up and building the knowledge, tools and self-trust to keep finding your way back there.

That's the work I teach now, and it's exactly what we'll begin exploring together inside Warm Authority.
